Diana Ross
Diana Ross is an American singer, songwriter, actress and record producer.
She rose to fame as the lead singer of The Supremes, which, during the 1960s, became Motownâs most successful act and is to this day Americaâs most successful vocal group as well as one of the worldâs best-selling girl groups of all time. Departing from the Supremes in 1970, Ross released her debut solo album, Diana Ross, which contained the hits âReach Out and Touch (Somebodyâs Hand)â and the #1 hit âAinât No Mountain High Enoughâ.
She released the album Touch Me in the Morning in 1973. Its title track reached #1, becoming her second solo hit.
By 1975, the Mahogany soundtrack included her 3rd #1 hit âTheme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where Youâre Going To)â.
Her 1976 album Diana Ross included her fourth number-one hit âLove Hangoverâ.
Her 1980 album Diana which reached #2 on the Billboard albums chart and spawned the #1 hit âUpside Downâ and the international hit âIâm Coming Outâ.
