Elaine Mai
Elaine Mai is a queer Irish producer and singer originally from Mayo, Ireland who now resides in Dublin. Elaine Mai came out at University College Galway, where she met her future wife Roisin. There, she also began her musical journey from Galway-based band Go Panda Go to solo work, which led her to electronic music. In her early days, there were few women leading in that genre. Now in her mid-30s Elaine Mai not only composes, produces, and record her own work but also leads in creating a more gender-equal environment for women in the music industry. She represents Ireland in the EU gender equality in music initiative KeyChange and is a member of the collective Irish Women In Harmony. She released her debut album Home on October 29, 2021.
