Mansionz
Mansionz is the R&B and hip-hop collaboration between singer-songwriter Mike Posner and recording artist/producer Matthew Musto, better known by his stage name blackbear.
Prior to Mansionz, the duo were already good friends, having been working together since 2012 on several projects, most notably teaming up to write Justin Bieber’s 2012 hit “Boyfriend”. Many collaborations followed, before the pair’s debut single as Mansionz, “STFU” was released on December 9th, 2016.
Reports have stated that in recording their debut album, the duo locked themselves in a cabin in the woods, and worked on music for two weeks straight. Whether true or not, the result was a debut album, Mansionz (formerly Mansionz Greatest Hitz, released March 24, 2017. The album notably contained features from G-Eazy, Spark Master Tape, Soren Bryce, and Dennis Rodman.
In promoting the album, the duo notably appeared together at the Grammy’s, both wearing lime green haircuts (a nod to collaborator Dennis Rodman).
