Lolene Everett is a British recording artist, songwriter and music executive. She has written for artists including Christina Milian, Teairra Mari, and Lindsay Lohan.
Lolene began her career singing backing vocals for Martina Topley-Bird and also collaborated with pioneer D&B producer Roni Size.
In 2007, she signed a development deal with BMG Records to front their latest girl group. She wrote the group’s material, but left shortly after to pursue a solo career and focus on songwriting.
She then moved to LA and signed to Beluga Heights/Sony ATV after being discovered by record producer J.R. Rotem and his manager Zach Katz. Initially hired as a songwriter, she soon began developing herself as a recording artist.
In 2008 she completed her debut album Electrick Hotel and in 2009 released its lead single “Sexy People”, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Dance Club Chart, followed by her second single “Rich” in 2010. The third single was intended to be “Lionheart” but the Electrick Hotel LP was shelved by Capitol after their merger with EMI.
In 2012, she released her EP She’s Got A Pulse independently, which was to precede an upcoming new debut album Modern Woman in 2013, but this never materialised.
In 2016, she discovered and signed Swedish teen artist Nova Miller to her new label 21:12 Entertainment, launched through BMG.
In 2018, Lolene and 21:12 parted ways with BMG, Sweden and signed a collaboration with 300 Entertainment, USA after the CEO Kevin Liles signed her artist Nova Miller on the spot.
