Siiren

Siiren made a big splash with his silky tone and songs in the pre-social media internet world, when becoming a viral sensation took more than partnering with a brand or attaching yourself to celebrities for clout. Real talent propelled people to go on a YouTube search to find the Atlanta-based creative’s music, which seemed to spread like wildfire on fan-ran music forums alike.

Even though he may have garnered major attention on the internet circuit for his incredible vocal ability, Siiren is an equally accomplished songwriter, with a pen game that rivals today’s hitmakers. He started writing songs at the tender age of 14, musing purely from imagination and emotion. For years, he honed his skills at Tupac Shakur’s performing arts camp, learning to draw inspiration from real-life experiences.

Siiren cites Brandy and BeyoncĂ© as vocal inspirations—and it shows with his distinctively strategic style and immaculately melded layers and textures on stellar vocal arrangements. All of that, set to a landscape of sound that merges live instruments and electronic elements lets Siiren’s pen sail in a sea that is all his own.

Over the years, Siiren’s unique ability has landed him collaborations with some of the industry’s most sought-after producers, including Danja, Hit-Boy, as well as Troy Taylor and Stacy Barthe.

Although in a YouTube search, several songs will surface, Siiren has released two full-length projects to date. 2017 saw the release of his debut tape, Merci—-which found the wordsmith playing with sonic elements different from what listeners were used to. Then, in 2018, SoftServ followed. Siiren describes the sophomore set as an affirmation; a prayer that pays homage to all of his inspirations, while speaking his wildest desires into existence.

The subtleness that comes with Siiren shouldn’t be confused for anything but the coy confidence of someone that knows what they want, and is willing to put in the work to get it. So, it’s no surprise that he possesses the ability to manifest his own reality through the power of pushing pen to paper.
