Tami
Tamia Monique Carter (b. January 9, 2000), better known by her stage name Flo Milli is a rapper from Mobile, Alabama.
Her musical style is fresh, in-your-face and full of female empowerment. With her sassy signature lyrics about being “that bitch” and unapologetically having an attitude – the rapper’s confidence and zero-tolerance approach to both drama and men can be felt by the listener through all of her songs.
She cites trap genre pioneer Young Thug as one of her biggest influences.
As reported by XXL Magazine; she started rapping at 11 years old after being inspired by female rap veteran Nicki Minaj who she saw on the BET awards.
Five years later, Flo then made her first solo single “No Hook.”
On October 5, 2018, “Beef FloMix” dropped. The song saw Flo flipping a Playboi Carti joint and making it her own. Then in April 2019, six months after its release, the track gained traction on the video-sharing social media app TikTok – which largely helped Flo breakthrough and establish herself as a recognised artist.
A further six solo singles and three as a featured artist followed, making way for Flo’s 12-track debut EP Ho, why is you here? which arrived on July 24, 2020.
