The Midnight is a Synthwave duo that formed in Los Angeles in 2012.

The act brings together Danish dance music producer Tim McEwan and American folk singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle to create their signature retro style.

The duo’s main motto is the Japanese phrase “mono no aware” which means “the sad beauty of seeing time pass.”
