Tiggs Da Author
Adam Muhabwa (born September 14, 1990), better known by his stage name Tiggs Da Author, is an South London singer, rapper and record producer. While recording material at the same studio complex as the artist Sway, he was invited to feature on vocals for the track “Still Sway and Kane”, that also featured rapper Kano. He then featured on another release for Sway, “No Sleep,” from his EP Wake Up, which also featured KSI, as well as Tubes from British television’s Soccer AM.
He had, however, been working on music for a long time before his Sway-featuring period, working as part of the Rebellife crew and releasing music with artists such as Paigey Cakey and TZZ, including the track “Bassline and Cars”. After the first couple of singles with Sway, this last one signed Adam up to release records on his own label, DCypha. It was on this label that he released his politically driven debut EP, Evilution. Off the back of the EP release, Tiggs Da Author received a fair amount of exposure, including prime-time BBC Radio One DJ Zane Lowe placing him in the “Next Hype” section on his show.
Since then, Tiggs has worked with artists such as J Hus, Stefflon Don, Nines and Tinie Tempah.
