Una Healy
Una Healy is a singer/songwriter from Thurles, Ireland. She is best known for being β of British/Irish girlband The Saturdays. At the age of thirteen, Una decided to take up the guitar, and from there she began writing songs of her own. She went on to study nursing and primary school teaching, before deciding to pursue music as a career at the age of 23. Healy began her career by playing small Indie clubs and bars around Ireland and in 2006 released an E.P. entitled Sorry on an independent label, but did not feel that her career was going as well as she would have hoped. So in the summer of 2007, she flew to London to audition for a new girl band (The Saturdays), in which she was successful.
The Saturdays went on to achieve five UK top ten albums, 18 UK top forty singles and four headline tours around the UK and Ireland, until their hiatus in late 2014.
In August 2016, Una Healy announced she had signed a solo record deal with Decca, with her debut solo album The Waiting Game released in 2017.
