Wyne

Virginia Wynette Pugh (5 May 1942 – 6 April 1998) was born in Tremont, Mississippi and used the stage name Tammy Wynette. She was a country music singer-songwriter and one of classic country’s most successful artists.

Wynette died at the age of 55, the result of a long history of medical problems and over a dozen major surgeries. She died of a cardiac arrhythmia.

Wynette is a Grammy winner, and has been named to the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Faith Hill, Sara Evans and Lee Ann Womack all name her as an influence on their music.
